Hi, I’m Sylvia
I’m the web designer behind New Leaf Web Studio.
Based in Launceston, Tasmania, I specialise in thoughtful, professional Squarespace website design for small businesses across Australia.
I create websites that are clear, user-focused and easy to manage, with a strong focus on practical design, straightforward communication and making the whole process feel manageable from start to finish.
As a mum and small business owner myself, I understand how important flexibility, clear communication and reliable support can be when you’re juggling a business alongside everything else.
What I Do
New Leaf Web Studio is a small web design studio based in Launceston, Tasmania, working remotely with small businesses across Australia.
I specialise in Squarespace website design, including:
One Page Websites
Business Website Design
E-Commerce Website Design
I also help businesses improve and maintain existing websites through:
Website Fixes
Website Refreshes
Website Additions
Ongoing Website Support
Website improvements and support are available for selected existing websites across a range of platforms where the project is a good fit.
My approach combines clean design, clear structure and practical functionality to create websites that feel polished, approachable and easy to use.
How I Work
My process is simple and collaborative.
Understand Your Goals
We start with your business, your audience and what you need your website to do.
Plan & Design
I work out the website structure, content requirements and visual direction.
Build & Refine
I create your Squarespace website and work through your feedback and refinements.
Launch & Support
I test everything, help get your website live and make sure you feel comfortable managing the everyday parts yourself.
Ongoing website support is also available if you’d prefer to hand regular updates back to me after launch.
Throughout the project, I focus on clear communication, thoughtful design and making the process feel as straightforward as possible.
A little more about me
Outside of web design, I have a deep love for nature, creativity and slow living, much of which is inspired by the landscapes of Tasmania and Victoria.
Creativity has always been a big part of my life, and I bring that same thoughtful attention to detail into every website I create.
I enjoy working with small businesses because every business has its own personality, priorities and story. My role is to bring those pieces together into a website that feels like a natural extension of the business behind it.
Where I’m based
I’m based in Launceston, Tasmania and work remotely with small businesses across Australia.
Most website projects can be completed entirely online, making it easy to collaborate whether you’re local to Tasmania or based elsewhere in Australia.
Why Squarespace?
I specialise in Squarespace because it allows me to create polished, professional websites that remain practical for small business owners to manage after launch.
You don’t need to rely on a web designer every time you want to update a photo, change some text or make a simple update.
I also provide a website management guide at handover so you have something to refer back to when managing your site.
And if you’d rather not handle the regular updates yourself, ongoing website support is available too.
Designed with Purpose
Thoughtful websites created to support your business with clarity, practical functionality and room to grow.
Whether you need a simple one-page website, a complete business website, an online store, help improving an existing website or ongoing support, I can help you work out the right approach.
